2. Browse through the Recommended for Reading websites to find an article on any topic that interests you. After reading the article, write a one-paragraph summary and reasons why you chose this article on the class blog before class on Friday.
3. Take the practice reading test based on the "Cellular Slime Molds" passage before class on Friday. Limit your time to 20 minutes. Use the answer key to check your answers. Email me your score.

1. If you haven't taken the Reading Test of Practice Test 1 on the CD-ROM yet, that will be your first assignment for this week before working on anything else.
2. Read Chapter 2 and answer each example question for every question type. The explanation that follows will not only give you the right answer, but also help you develop your skills in finding the answer within the given paragraph or sentence -- except for the last two.
3. After you finish Chapter 2, do Practice Set 1 at the end of the chapter. Use your new skills by going directly to the questions and finding your answers from the given paragraphs without reading the entire passage. Limit your time to 20 minutes. Email me your score when finished.
